New Reno map, in-game graphic.

Description

The smallest little city in the world... the city that rose from the remains of Reno, located in western Nevada. It is known for its overabundance of casinos, alcohol, drugs and prostitution.

New Reno is a city of crime and debauchery. Every street is crowded with whores, gamblers, junkies, drug lords and other various kind of scums. You won't find any government here, no town major, magistrate or anything of those sort, the only thing keeping the town away from total anarchy are 4 grand families whose members together rule the town, of course though they constantly clash with each other. Each visitors to the town should know the names of 4 ruling families: Salvators, Mordino, Bishop and Wright. Remember that New Reno is completely unprotected so stay on watch whenever you go. Alongside with San Francisco this town is having the most often updated NPCs shopkeepers that will offer a lot of different stuff to any wastelander. Reno is a host for quite a few automatic events : Grand Drugs Sellout, Grand Ammo Sellout, Wright's Family Weapon Buyout and what most interesting - the Gang War Event (Visit living world project section for more information about those events). New Reno is also the only town in which you can start a PvP Challenge. Crafters will find here two profession teaching NPCs. The Gunsmith level 3 (Alegernon) as well as level 3 Chemist teacher (Renesco). It seems that only thing missing here as for 2015 and session 3 goes is the lack of quests and lack of active town control module.

Town maps

New Reno is divided into 5 main maps. There are also a lot separate maps for the casino sublevels and such.

Points of interest

South side

  • 1 - Desperado's bartender. He only offers drinks and caps.
  • 2 - Small Jesus Mordino. NPC giving out reward for finishing Gang War event.

Desperado Casino - Basement.

Nope, it's empty!

Desperado Casino - Level 1.

  • 1 - Big Jezus Mordino. A Boss of Mordino familly, you can talk to him in order to response to PvP Challenge.

Center of the city

  • 1 - Shark Club bartender. Unlike the one working at Desperado's, this one knows what wastelanders need. You can find guns, ammunition and caps when trading with him.
  • 2 - Salvatore's bartender. He offers the same crap as the one in Desperado's.

Shark Club - Basement

Nope, it's empty!

Shark Club - Level 1

Nope, it's empty!

Shark Club - Level 2

Salvator's Bar - Upstairs

  • 1 - Louis Salvatore. A Boss of Salvatore family, you can talk to him in order to start PvP Challenge.

Gas station

  • 1 - T-Ray. He sells cars, just like his cousin in the Hub. He can also sell you blank keys.

West side

  • 1 - Renesco. The local dealer... I mean "pharmacist". He offers drugs. He can also teach you the level 3 chemist profession.
  • 2 - Eldridge. "New Reno Arms" shop owner specialized in weapons and ammunition.
  • 3 - The Workbench location.
  • 4 - Stairs leading to a basement where Algernon resides (he's a level 3 gunsmith teacher.)

New Reno Arm's Basement

  • 4 - Algernon , a level 3 gunsmith teacher.

East side

  • 1 - Chris Wright. NPC that is buying up stuff as a representative of Wright's Family during a buyout event.
  • 2 - Orville Wright. A Boss of Wright family, you can talk to him in order to response to PvP Challenge.

Wright Distillery's Basement

Nope, it's empty!

Trivia

  • Due to this place having good shops its one of favorite place for player killer to lurk. Wastelander named Racker is famous (or rather infamous) for camping here sometimes for hours or longer.
  • During end of Season 2 devs had planted 3 footlockers spawning awesome items in the west side of this town. This decision turned this place into miniature battlefield. Similar mechanism is also functioning on server called Reloaded. Currently in FOnline 2 those lockers are removed though, as they were placed only temporary.
  • In 2238, the spiritual processor of FOnline 2 this place was the favorite small PvP zone. If you had nothing better to do and wanted to shoot someone you were coming to New Reno.
  • In Fallout 2 this was definitely the most awesome of all towns. There were so much things you could had done here. Plenty of quests and NPCs. I wish that one day FOnline 2 will have as much things to do here as it was in Fallout 2.
