Junktown map, in-game Graphic.

Description

The town was founded after the Great War by a soldier named Darkwater. Instead of the usual routine of settling in the ruins of the old one, he decided to start anew, and so the place was built mostly out of random pieces of junk and broken cars from the nearby scrapyard.

Junktown is one of the first cities that a player new to the world of FOnline2 will get to know. Its inhabitants offer many interesting quests, its security is very tight, and you can also find traders who can offer you some basic starting equipment. Areas surrounding this place are full of easy encounters, which makes this town a perfect starting point; that is until you get bored with it and decide to get a taste of the cruel wasteland.

Junktown Scouts

Junktown is the city managed by Junktown Scouts - A gang/faction ran by a bunch of buffoons (Players) It's members are a bit over privileged here. They can collect taxes from jail warden (officers only), they have access to private barracks (every person in the faction is having its own room), they have their very own building with a workbench (only officers can get inside) also the Junktown Scouts faction possess an NPC Shopkeeper located next to office, finally Junktown members can attend a patrol using a NPC located close to the east gate. A patrol is a feature working like a caravan route, except instead of one caravan leader helping, you got yourself a whole bunch of guards.

The Junktown Scouts project mission is to help newcomer, if you meet one in the city and need anything, ask them, while they don't have to help you, in most cases they will at least try to. Also its probably okay to join them just to be able to make a patrol, but then you will probably agree to not shoot newcomers or some similar sounding rules. Best way of joining the faction is probably through FOnline 2 forum or catching one of Junktown Scouts in-game.

Note: Unlike Shady Sands, in Junktown, scouts cannot shoot people at wish.

Town maps

Junktown consists of one huge map.

  • 24 - Private Room. Only a member of Junktown Scouts can enter this area.
  • T - Player run shop.

Trivia

  • During the great "Antiwesan" hacking attempt, Junktown was hit hard like, real fucking hard. The attacking script man-boy-thing has made the whole place a Turn-Based trap. That means that each player entering the location was being stuck in endless turn, lasting for all eternity... well that is till devs repelled the attack with a swift server restart!

  • Due to strong guard system that makes stealing in town impossible, this is the safest town to trade items.
